Some couple of centuries ago, such crimes were considered treason, and punished exclusively by death. You will be surprised when you find out what is at stake. It’s a fake copy. Unfortunately, today no one is safe from acquiring products of dubious quality. It’s not a big deal if we are talking about inexpensive watches with the name of a well-known company, or a handbag from a fashion designer, purchased at a surprisingly low price. Serious problems arise when a fake product affects our lives. After all, this may apply to medicines, medical equipment, food, spare parts for a car or aircraft. Hundreds and thousands of fates of children and adults are at stake.
Most companies strive to establish themselves as reliable suppliers of quality products. Registration of a trademark allows you to correctly recognize the manufacturer, so the buyer acquires certain things without unnecessary distrust. But fake was and remains a dangerous companion of everything with which our life is connected. How to protect yourself in this area?
Panacea, unfortunately, does not exist. Fake spare parts were found even at nuclear power plants, where, it would seem, the most careful control is being conducted. But something can still be done. First, it matters where the product is purchased. Company stores, official sales offices are solely responsible for their goods. Therefore, buying something serious in dubious shops is hardly reasonable. Secondly, there are a number of sites that allow using the markings on the product to determine its authenticity. And some manufacturers publish hotline phone numbers on product labels. And if there is even the slightest doubt about the quality, or the trademark seems fake, it is better not to rush with the purchase, no matter how attractive its price may seem. The price that you have to pay later can be much higher.
